James (Jim) Kleinburd
Chief Executive Officer
Mr. Kleinburd is a founder and CEO of LSA Security. Jim is a Wharton School graduate from the University of Pennsylvania with a concentration in risk management. He has built and grown businesses in technology, security and distribution sectors. He has developed and lead teams in the U.S., Japan, Brazil, Western Europe and Israel. Prior to founding LSA Security Jim was Managing Partner of Carbon360 Partners for twelve years. With its primary interests in the energy sector the firm sponsored carbon reduction projects to generate reductions in GHG emissions to earn carbon credits. Prior to running Carbon360 he ran a closely held firm, Eisenberg Brothers, a distribution company serving the eastern U.S. from its Camden, New Jersey headquarters. Both of these firms were involved in several acquisitions and mergers with successful exits.
William (Bill) Glass, P.E.
Senior Vice President & Chief Operating Officer
Mr. Glass is a founder and COO of LSA Security. Bill is an experienced executive-entrepreneur who has successfully led start-ups and divisions of multi-billion dollar corporations to significant value creation. He created value by growing the top line (new product/application development, new market development, and increased market penetration), improving operations (integrating acquisitions, removing redundancies, improving operational efficiency through six sigma and lean, and capital avoidance), and institutionalizing best practices. Before entering the entrepreneurial sector, Bill had executive positions at BASF, Allied Signal (Honeywell) Plastics, Nova Chemicals and Sun Chemical Corp. He also led the team that built the world’s largest green field biomass wood pellet manufacturing plant for RWE Energy. Bill has a BS in Chemical Engineering and an MBA in International Business.

Col0nel Nelson Mellitz, USAF Retired

Nelson is a founder and VP of Business Development for LSA Security. Nelson began his career in the Air Force as a civil engineer/site specialist but later became involved in acquisition contracting. He held positions in Europe and the U.S. including in the Pentagon, and later in Iraq for the DOD and State Department. While he was assigned to Defense Contract Management Command (DCMA) in the Brig Gen Reservist slot he managed over 3,000 Air Force, Army, Navy, and Marine joint service staff and billions of dollars in supplies and services.Colonel Mellitz has been recognized with numerous awards including: First Term Airman of the Year – Germany, Defense Logistics Agency Junior Officer of the Year, Defense Logistics Agency Senior Officer of the Year – Air Force Element, and the U.S. Ambassador to Iraqi Meritorious Service Award and over 20 ribbons and decorations. In addition, Colonel Mellitz is currently on the New Jersey Governors Veterans Services Council with assignments as liaison to the VA Medical Center – Philadelphia, Vineland Veterans Memorial Home, and Veterans Haven South. Nelson has undergraduate degrees in business administration and in accounting, and a Doctorate in Business Administration with a concentration in leadership.
Herb Rosin

Mr. Rosin is a founder of LSA Security and its CTO. Herb was the founder and President of Health Systems Resources, a boutique IT consulting firm for almost 25 years. He led his clients through all phases of remote monitoring as the industry grew from all on-site computing to virtually all off-site. Herb got his start in computing in the 1970’s as a systems analyst for Technicon specializing in product development and implementation of hospital information systems. Herb began his career as an R&D chemist for Pfizer and then for Ames Yissum (R&D “for profit” arm of the Hebrew University). With an undergraduate degree in chemistry followed by an MBA Herb has a full view of technology and how it fits into practical applications.
Vincent chang

Mr. Chang joins LSA Security as the Senior Director International Business. Vincent is an enthusiastic leader in building and developing teams to drive highly engaged individuals in multi-cultural and matrix organizations. His career focused on business development and sales in organizations in the U.S., China, Asia, Latin America and Germany. He has worked for Fortune 500’s such as Dow Corning, Baxter Healthcare, B. Braun Medical and Lubrizol as well as smaller more entrepreneurial firms.
Vincent is a goal and customer oriented individual who strives to deliver the best experience with internal and external partners. Being fluent in English and Spanish and at a high level in Chinese (and not so bad in German!) allows his personality to positively impact with stakeholders of different cultures. With an MBA from Pepperdine University and a Masters of Science in Industrial engineering from Purdue Vincent brings diverse skills to our team and customers.
Eric (Rick) Halperin

Mr. Halperin is a founder and the CFO of LSA Security. Rick has a professional career creating value for clients and companies through his expertise in finance and risk management. As a principal in the firm Advisory 1, Rick provided a broad range of sustainability and clean-tech consulting and advisory services to clients in the wind and solar industries, bio-based power generation and environmental firms. He brings experience in project management in a variety of industries.Rick has an MBA in Finance, is a CPA in California as well as having Series 7 and 66 professional licenses. His experience in business development, strategic planning, and capital formation for start-ups and technology companies allows him to bring added value to any organization.

Howard Joffe

Mr. Joffe is a founder and the CIO of LSA Security. Howard is a recognized expert in high-end strategic communication. This includes media training, media relations and presentation training. Through his firm Best Evidence, Inc. he has helped clients through crises, unusual events as well as day-to-day communications that emphasize getting the message across most effectively.Before that, he was an Emmy Award winning News Anchor and Investigative Consumer Reporter at KYW-TV3 (CBC, formerly NBC) Philadelphia, PA (Troubleshooter 3) and WPLG-TV10 (ABC), Miami, FL (10 Troubleshooter). He started his career in television news directly out of law school at WAVY-TV10 (NBC) Portsmouth/Norfolk, VA as a General Assignment Reporter and News Anchor. A graduate of Rutgers College, Rutgers University in New Brunswick, NJ, he holds a Juris Doctor from the Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law in New York. He's a member of the bar in New York, New Jersey and Pennsylvania.
